Barrington Condominiums

The Barrington Condominiums are two five-unit buildings on opposite corners of Barrington Avenue. Parking is on grade with a three-story superstructure above. It was the intent to economically design and build while maximizing interior space and allowing ample exterior private decks. The project was to reflect a consideration for the surrounding neighborhood while maintaing a strong identity of its own. Each unit was to have a private entry from the garage and public access. Security and unit individuality were important considerations. The rounded elements of the composition serve to identify the entrances and vertical circulation and provide physical separation between exterior decks. The project exploits the concept of separation and identification of elements while maintaining a strong sense of unity.
